Our Company

Stamps.com® is a publically traded company (NASDAQ:  STMP) which provides Internet-based mailing and shipping solutions in the United States. Under the Stamps.com and Endicia brands, customers use our United States Postal Service (“USPS”) only solutions to mail and ship a variety of mail pieces and packages through the USPS.  Customers using our solutions receive discounted postage rates compared to USPS.com and USPS retail locations on certain mail pieces such as First Class letters and domestic and international Priority Mail® and Priority Mail Express® packages.  Stamps.com was the first ever USPS-approved PC Postage vendor to offer a software only mailing and shipping solution in 1999.  Endicia became a USPS-approved PC Postage vendor in 2000. Under the ShipStation®, ShipWorks® and ShippingEasyTM brands, customers use our multi-carrier solutions to ship packages through multiple carriers such as the USPS, UPS, FedEx and others. Our customers include individuals, small businesses, home offices, medium-size businesses, large enterprises, e-commerce merchants and warehouse shippers. 

 

Primary Objectives:

  1. Use a customer-focused, consultative sales process to educate prospects on what global products/services will best fit their needs
  2. Provide basic sales help and training for customers new to our international consolidated services.
  3. Maintain expert-level knowledge on the features and business applications of the company’s product line as related to Global Shipping and U.S. Export.
  4. Become a subject matter expert (SME) in all parts of our global business to help with trade shows and perform marketing tasks as needed

   

Responsibilities

Essential Position Duties:

  • Gather competitive pricing and run pricing analysis
  • Generate custom rate cards to help sales compete and win mid to high volume business
  • Attend (via phone or in person) sales calls to help sales reps close sales related to GlobalPost
  • Run reports for sales and track status as it relates to mid to high volume sales opportunities
  • Generate gap analysis briefing sheet to inform product where new products are needed to compete
  • Participate in product design and innovation as needed to inform and educate product teams
  • Meet with key USPS global representatives to develop relationships and keep informed of our product updates.
  • Conduct training, attend seminars, and stay current regarding all products in the global and domestic consolidation space.

Qualifications

Preferred Education and/or Experience:                                                             

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Six to Eight (6-8) years’ experience in field B2B sales
  • Two to Four (2-4) years’ experience in field global business
  • Experience in Import & Export industry preferred

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Requires an excellent telephone and personal demeanor
  • Must have exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate global products and match their advantages to customer needs
  • Requires the ability to work on a team with other sales representatives
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment

Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:                                                   

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

 

Travel Requirements:

  • 25% travel required
