Global Product - Sales Support Specialist



We are seeking a Global Product - Sales Support Specialist to join our team! This role is responsible for expanding relationships with existing customers by directing and supporting collaborative sales efforts to grow the product line. With a focus on generating competitive market analysis, the Global Product - Sales Support Specialist will support the business by identifiying opportunities to increase our prodcut penetration into the international and domestic consolidation space. As a key member of the Global Product team, the group drives our strategic roadmap for new services and contributes to bottom line long-term growth. 
Our Company® is a publically traded company (NASDAQ:  STMP) which provides Internet-based mailing and shipping solutions in the United States. Under the and Endicia brands, customers use our United States Postal Service (“USPS”) only solutions to mail and ship a variety of mail pieces and packages through the USPS.  Customers using our solutions receive discounted postage rates compared to and USPS retail locations on certain mail pieces such as First Class letters and domestic and international Priority Mail® and Priority Mail Express® packages. was the first ever USPS-approved PC Postage vendor to offer a software only mailing and shipping solution in 1999.  Endicia became a USPS-approved PC Postage vendor in 2000. Under the ShipStation®, ShipWorks® and ShippingEasyTM brands, customers use our multi-carrier solutions to ship packages through multiple carriers such as the USPS, UPS, FedEx and others. Our customers include individuals, small businesses, home offices, medium-size businesses, large enterprises, e-commerce merchants and warehouse shippers. 

Primary Role Objectives:

  1. Execute Business and Marketplace Analytics
  2. Deliver Sales Optimization through developing sales tools and providing product expertise
  3. Become the Subject Matter Expert for Clients and Other Key Stakeholders


1. Execute Business and Marketplace Analytics

    • Execute market penetration analysis including the research and analysis of competitive pricing. Present conclusions and recommendations to sales management.
    • Perform gap analysis to inform management of new market opportunities.
    • Advance market knowledge by attending seminars and events to stay current regarding all products in the international and domestic consolidation space.

2. Deliver Sales Optimization through developing sales tools and providing product expertise

    • Develop custom rate cards and other strategic tools for sales use in mid to high volume client acquisition.
    • Function as product line expert in sales calls to aid in client closing.
    • Partner in product design and innovation to advise and educate product teams

3. Become Subject Matter Expert for Clients and Other Key Stakeholders

    • Develop and maintain relationships with key USPS global representatives.
    • Utilize client shipping data to demonstrate which global products/services will best fit their needs.
    • Continually educated clients and key stakeholders on product updates.
    • Continuously educate/coach team members on the product strategy and offerings


Education and/or Experience:                  

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Six to Eight (6-8) years’ experience in field B2B sales
  • Two to Four (2-4) years’ experience in global shipping logistics is preferred

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Requires an excellent telephone and personal demeanor
  • Must have exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate global products and match their advantages to customer needs
  • Requires the ability to work on a team with other sales representatives
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment

Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:    

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Travel Requirements:

  • 25% travel required
