Enterprise Inside Sales Representative



The Enterprise Sales Team introduces the “Enterprise PC Postage” solution to corporate clients (Fortune 500 down to mid-sized companies) and Federal, State and Local government organizations as an organization-wide postage services solution, most specifically targeting organizations seeking to replace traditional postage meter hardware in smaller field locations in order to reduce and control operating costs and gain centralized control of associated mail-related spending and field user administration.


The Enterprise Inside-Sales Representative is very important to the success of The team is responsible for growing revenue with our largest corporate and government customers by building and strengthening customer loyalty. The Enterprise Inside-Sales Representative identifies and support sales activities with existing customers by using telephony and technology.

Primary Objectives:

  1. Identify key decision-makers in target organizations.
  2. Identify organization’s potential fit for Enterprise PC Postage services.
  3. Build relationship with these decision-makers.
  4. Manage Outbound and Inbound sales cycles.
  5. Develop competitive insight on competing postage solutions.


Essential Position Duties:

  1. Identify & qualify target organizations and engage key decision-makers
    • Perform daily outbound cold calls and scheduled follow-up communications to prospective customers via telephone and emails.
    • Qualify account by determining existing field location mailing and shipping operational processes and business needs. 
  1. Identify organization’s potential fit for Enterprise PC Postage services.
    • Learn and understand the customer.
    • Analyze the customer – what makes them valuable.
  1. Build relationship with decision-makers
    • Use consultative sales method to introduce PC Postage services.
    • Share benefits of replacing traditional postage meters with online postage.
    • Effectively identify and address each prospect’s unique “hot button” business requirements. 
  1. Manage Outbound and Inbound sales process and pipeline
    • Perform polished, highly-professional online sales presentations to for decision-makers.
    • Maintain a consistent pace toward the annual Enterprise sales quota requirements.
    • Participate in weekly 1:1 sales review and strategy sessions with the Director, Enterprise Sales.
    • Provide prompt follow-ups on assigned inbound sales leads.
    • Participate in the on-boarding of new customers.
    • Facilitate delivery of exceptional support levels in collaboration with the Enterprise Support and Enterprise Relationship Management teams.
    • Develop competitive insights and selling strategies for competing postage solutions.
  1. Develop completive insights on competing postage solutions
    • Evaluate sales activity and selling strategies to beat competition
    • Participate in weekly one on one sales review sessions with the Director, Enterprise sales



Preferred Education and/or Experience:                  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three (3+) years business-to-business sales experience. 
  • Experience selling office products, online services, software, SAAS, mailing and shipping services or corporate business services to senior and C- level contacts in large corporate and/or government organizations.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Superior cold-call phone skills and written business communication skills 
  • Highly professional online presentation skills 
  • Strong technical aptitude particularly in web-based services and/or software
  • Fearless, self-reliant, and highly self-motivated personality with great time management skills and a focus on consistent execution and accountability
  • Strong research, qualifying and closing skills 
  • A customer-focused & team-oriented attitude 
  • Strong work ethic with exceptional entrepreneurial energy, drive and mindset 

Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:                                                   

  • MS Outlook, Word, Excel (basic only); Salesforce CRM experience preferred) 

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 5%
