    About the Role

    The Data Analyst will work within the Financial Operations Group. You will review both system design and transactional data to optimize Stamps.com’s business practices, working closely with third-party vendors and Stamps.com’s own development, product design, Business Intelligence, and Tier 2/3 technical support teams to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and profitability of our systems. You will report directly to the Vice President of Finance.

     

    About the Team

    The Financial Operations group at Stamps.com ensures that money is properly collected from and credited to the hundreds of thousands of customers of Stamps.com and its subsidiaries. This includes automated recurring billing and invoice generation, payment processing, credit extension, fraud prevention and more.

    Responsibilities

    Key Goals

    • Optimize revenue collection billing design for new products and services
    • Perform strategic revenue analysis to make recommendations to leadership to optimize and maximize revenue growth
    • Extract financial data from various e-commerce and reporting systems
    • Perform financial analyses and periodic reporting for senior management
    • Work with business intelligence & software development teams to automate collections and reporting processes
    • Design our payment collection methodology
    • Simplify accounting where possible
    • Measure and manage risk relating to services billed in arrears

    Qualifications

    You Need

    • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field like Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Economics, or equivalent
    • At least two (2) years of post-graduation experience in e-commerce, or financial analysis, or software development for accounting, e-commerce, or financial analysis
    • Prior programming experience language.
    • Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, lookup, and reference functions)
    • Working knowledge of SQL including joins
    • e-Commerce and or Logistics experience is preferred
    • R or Python experience is preferred
