This important position will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks up to and including providing excellent customer services to our employees and vendors. The positon reports to the Manager, Facilities.

     

    Pay up $17.00 per hour

    Responsibilities

    Primary Objectives:

    1. Stock and maintain inventory levels for all kitchen/lunch rooms and office supply/copy areas throughout the building.
    2. Manage general and routine janitorial, maintenance, and security needs of the building.
    3. Relieve reception for lunch and work breaks as needed.
    4. Perform administrative task in support of the function.

    Essential Position Duties:

    • Perform daily restocking of all kitchen/lunch rooms and office supply/copy areas throughout the building with appropriate items such as; snacks, beverages, paper towels, disposable eating utensils, copy paper, office supplies, and mailing supplies.
    • Track inventory levels and place orders for replenishment through online portals and over the phone as necessary.
    • Perform janitorial duties as needed to clean up spills, drain stoppages, and sanitize toilets/ urinals when required.
    • Perform minor electrical services including but not limited to replacing bulbs, and testing outlets and switches.
    • Perform general repair duties including but not limited to patching holes, installing hardware, and assembling furniture.
    • Ensure that the building common areas are in a safe, secure, and orderly condition at all times.
    • Greet building guests and answer phones as backup to the Receptionist as needed.
    • Maintain comprehensive written records and document projects from inception to completion.
    • Assist with special event/ meeting logistics and support involving furniture set-up, tear-down, and event support as instructed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience:

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
    • Two or more (2+) years’ experience in Facility Operations.
    • Prior experience with answering phones and data entry is a plus.

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Excellent Customer Service skills.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to manage and perform multiply projects simultaneously.
    • Must be friendly, service-oriented and able to successfully interface with staff, vendors, and managers.
    • Demonstrate proficiency with tools both manual and electric
    • Must have the ability to understand and perform written and verbal assignments, read, follow and interpret checklists, and understand directions written on equipment and products/chemicals used to perform daily duties.

    Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:                                                   

    • Proficiency with the Microsoft suite including Outlook, Word and Excel.
